Chris Cooper is the co-owner of a personal training facility in Massapequa Park, NY called Active Movement & Performance or AMP. One of the core philosophies that Chris has is that people do not move as well or as often as they should. This is a driving principle behind all aspects of his training programs no matter what a client’s goal may be.

As an NSCA-CPT, he has put great effort into maintaining a high level of continuing education so that his clients get the very best out of their training programs. He is always looking for ways to improve his approach to training through constant research and experimentation.

One of the most beneficial aspects of his education that he finds key to his ability to help his clients is the numerous hours spent learning and interning under Physical Therapists. His educational background is why he is the go to trainer for clients coming off injuries.

Andrea began her career in hospitality and conference management. By simple chance, she applied for a position as conference producer for the Summit, a fitness conference hosted by Town Sports International (TSI). This was the beginning of the marriage between her two main passions-education and fitness.

For the last twelve years, Andrea has held several positions in Town Sports International, first overseeing the Summit and then as a learning manager. After taking a regional programming manager's role in group exercise for two years (also at TSI), Andrea returned to an expanded role as a learning strategist, creating practical and executable learning strategies and curriculum for leadership, sales, ops and fitness education. Additionally, Andrea has served as a contractual curriculum developer for AFAA and as a volunteer presenter for the American Diabetes Association.

She is a seasoned fitness professional and has run successful small group trainings in the past and currently serves as a group exercise instructor, teaching Les Mills Bodypump, Cycling, Piyo and barre conditioning classes at New York Sports Clubs. She is a dedicated triathlete, (if not the fastest!) having recently competed her sixth sprint triathlon this summer.
